Your music.
Your control.

Effective September 20, 2026. This policy describes the current RetroPod Music app based on its reviewed iOS implementation and privacy manifest.

Apple Music permission

RetroPod requests permission to access your Apple Music library. You can decline and still explore themes and games. You can also change this permission later in the Settings app on your device.

How music access is used

When permission is granted, RetroPod uses Apple's MusicKit and media frameworks to display the songs, albums, artists and playlists you authorize and to request playback. Availability depends on your Apple account, region, library and subscription when applicable.

Local preferences

RetroPod stores preferences on your device, including the selected theme, volume level, shuffle and repeat state, wheel-sound choice, backlight choice and recent playback state. These settings support the experience and are not sent to a RetroPod account or backend.

Artwork cache

Album artwork may be decoded and stored temporarily in the device's cache to make browsing smoother. The app may use artwork from your media library or a matching Apple Music catalog album. Cache files can be removed by the operating system.

Accounts, advertising and tracking

RetroPod does not require its own account. The reviewed app does not declare tracking, use advertising, sell personal information or operate a backend that stores your music library.

Retention and deletion

Preferences and cached artwork remain locally for as long as the app or operating system keeps them. You can revoke music access in device Settings. Deleting RetroPod removes its app container and locally stored app information, subject to normal device backup and operating-system behavior.

Apple services

Apple Music, MusicKit, the App Store, device backups and related Apple services are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies. RetroPod does not control Apple's processing.

Children's privacy

RetroPod does not include a user account, advertising or a feature intended to collect personal information from children. Music access and Apple account use remain subject to the device owner's settings and Apple's services.

Changes to this policy

This notice may be updated when RetroPod's features or data practices change. A revised effective date will be shown here. Material changes will be reflected before the updated practices apply where required.
